Christians targeted in the Philippines

A new report by Amnesty International says Christians were targeted by Muslim radicals in the Philippines during a six month battle on the island of Mindanao this year. The report states that “Militants regularly targeted civilians and carried out numerous extrajudicial executions. The civilian victims were nearly all Christians, and most — if not all — were targeted because they were not Muslim.” The radicals, who pledged allegiance to ISIS, battled with government troops for control of the island. Amnesty International says Muslims set up checkpoints around Mindanao, killing any Christians who approached.
