Attacks on Christians continue in Egypt

A gunman has killed two Coptic Christian brothers in an attack on a store in Giza  province, just days after nine people were killed in an attack on a church and another store in Cairo. Friday’s attack in Helwan suburb left eight Copts and a policeman dead. It was claimed by ISIS. Egypt’s Christian minority has been targeted by Islamic militants in a series of attacks since December 2016 that has left more than 100 dead and scores wounded. Christian leaders say the government of President el-Sisi needs to do more. Copts make up about 10 percent of the population in mostly-Muslim Egypt.
