Biden made Thanksgiving visit to troops at home, not abroad

President Biden chose to visit U-S forces within the United States for Thanksgiving rather than go abroad. On Monday, the president and first lady helped serve Thanksgiving meals to troops at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, thanking them for their service and dedication to the country. In past years, former presidents Trump, Obama, and Bush traveled to visit troops in either Iraq or Afghanistan during the holiday season. But with American troops withdrawn from Afghanistan and the U-S set to end its combat mission in Iraq by year’s end, Mr. Biden stayed closer to home for Thanksgiving.
