Biden’s July 4 COVID optimism not realized on Labor Day

It was a rough summer for COVID-19 and President Biden.
At a July 4th celebration on the White House South Lawn, the president declared that the U-S was “emerging from the darkness” of the coronavirus pandemic.

Later this week, the president will lay out the next steps his administration will take to deal with the pandemic.
