Democrats disagree on Biden plan ahead of possible shutdown

A divide among Capitol Hill Democrats is putting President Biden’s agenda at risk. It’s coming down to the wire for the president’s economic and social package, as well as funding to keep the federal government open. The White House acknowledges this is a “precarious” point as moderates and liberals disagree over trillions of dollars in spending. In addition to trying to pass the president’s plan, lawmakers are facing a possible government shutdown. They need to approve new funding before midnight Thursday.
