Facebook is suspending Donald Trump for two years

Facebook is suspending former President Trump for two years stemming from the U-S Capitol riot. The social media company’s suspension follows its finding that Trump stoked violence in the nation’s capital on January 6th. In a statement, Facebook said it will reassess the suspension in two years and “whether the risk to public safety has receded.” Mr. Trump denounced the decision as “an insult.” He said Facebook “shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this censoring and silencing.” The company also plans to end a policy that automatically exempted politicians from rules that banned hate speech and abuse.
