Judge: some Trump records should be turned over to lawmakers

A federal judge says Congress should get access to some of former President Trump’s financial records. The judge ordered Trump’s accounting firm to turn over some financial records to a House committee, but not all of the documents sought by lawmakers. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta said documents relating to Trump’s hotel in Washington, D.C. should be turned over. But he did not allow House investigators to see disclosure forms Trump submitted to the government that outlined his assets and liabilities.
