Obama, Jill Biden to campaign in tight VA governor’s race

A former president and the current first lady are making plans to stump for the Democratic candidate in Virginia’s gubernatorial race. ¬†Republican Glenn Youngkin’s campaign has been gaining ground and polls are showing a tight race against Democrat Terry McAuliffe. With his once-larger lead evaporating, McAuliffe is bringing in big names from his party. First Lady Jill Biden will attend campaign events on Friday and former President Obama will stump for McAuliffe later this month. Most voter surveys give McAuliffe a slight edge, but last week’s Emerson College poll shows a dead heat.
