One GOP Senator expects colleagues to support the President during impeachment.

One GOP Senator predicts none of his Republican colleagues will vote to convict President Trump at his impeachment trial. Capitol Hill correspondent Bob Agnew reports.

Senator Rand Paul believes the final verdict in the trial that starts next week is really not in doubt. Not only will the Senate fall well short of the 67 votes it would take to remove the President, Paul believes no GOP senators will vote to convict. In fact–Paul told The Hill–he doesn’t believe there’s a single senator from either party that hasn’t already made up their mind. Several Republicans have said they see the trial now as an effort by Minority Leader Charles Schumer to embarrass some Republican Senators who may be vulnerable to defeat in this year’s election.
