President Biden to make first overseas trip in June

In June, President Biden will travel overseas for the first time since taking office. The president’s first foreign trip will take him to Cornwall, England, for the Group of Seven summit, followed by a visit to Brussels, where he will hold meetings with European Union leadership and attend the June 14 summit of NATO leaders. White House officials say the aim of the trip will be to demonstrate the administration’s commitment to the transatlantic alliance and reengagement with key allies. Mr. Biden has also proposed a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but no date has been set.
