President Biden touts June’s robust jobs hiring

President Biden is cheering the latest monthly jobs numbers.
Calling it a “good day,” the president welcomed news of 850-thousand jobs added in June. And he made the case that his economic policies are making it easier for workers to find higher-paying jobs.
Despite the job market’s steady gains, unemployment remains well above the 3-and-a-half percent rate before the pandemic struck.
