The Jewish High Holy Days are just around the corner

VERBATIM: Rosh Hashanah — the new year celebration — begins at sundown on September 6th and Jews around the world are preparing. The pandemic is still a problem in a lot of places, but it’s expected many Jews will be somewhat more free to celebrate this this year as compared with 2020. A week later it’s Yom Kippur — the Day of Atonement. Rosh Hashanah is a festive occasion, marked by feating. Yom Kippur is more solemn and contemplative. Michael Harrington, SRN News.
