Two key Democrats are holdouts against Biden’s economic plan

A couple of moderate Democratic senators continue to hold up passage of President Biden’s economic agenda. Congressional Republicans are squarely against the president’s plan to spend 3-and-a-half trillion dollars to xpand government health care, education, and other programs. But it’s Democratic senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema who say the price tag is too high. They are publicly quiet about a number they can live with and they’ve been talking to the White House about trimming the size of the bill.
