U.S. to buy 500M Pfizer vaccine doses to share globally

The United States plans to buy 500-million more doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to share with the world. As he begins a weeklong European trip, President Biden is set to announce that the U-S will share the half-a-billion vaccine doses through the global COVAX alliance for donation to 92 lower income countries and the African Union. National security adviser Jake Sullivan says the president was committed to sharing vaccines because it was in the public health and strategic interests of the United States.
