The Biden administration is sending Ukraine a small number of high-tech, medium-range rocket systems. Writing a guest essay in The New York Times, President Biden confirmed his decision to send the advanced rocket systems to help the Ukrainians. However, he doesn’t want the arms to hit targets deep inside Russia and trigger an escalation in the war. The Ukrainians have assured U-S officials that they will not fire rockets into Russian territory, but a Kremlin spokesman accused the U-S of “pouring fuel on the fire.”
