White House denies political pressure to get vaccine approval by Election Day

The White House denies that it’s pressuring the FDA to approve a coronavirus vaccine by Election Day.
Federal health officials are instructing states to be ready to begin distributing a vaccine by November 1st — two days before the election. Some Democrats accuse the Trump administration of pressuring the FDA to boost President Trump’s re-election prospects. Not true, says White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany.
She says there’s no political pressure, a charge she describes as a “bizarre theory.”
