White House has questions about new bipartisan infrastructure deal

The White House says questions remain about an infrastructure deal reached by a group of bipartisan senators. The infrastructure plan backed by 10 Republican and Democratic senators would not include tax increases, which is a top GOP priority. The price tag of the new package is 928-billion dollars — still short of the 1-point-7 trillion dollars President Biden is seeking. A White House spokesman expressed appreciation for the bipartisan efforts, but said “questions need to be addressed” on policy and how to pay for it. GC, Wash.
