White House unveils plans to share COVID-19 vaccines globally

The White House has unveiled President Biden’s plans to share COVID-19 vaccines with the world. The president plans to allocate 75 percent of unused COVID-19 vaccines through the U.N.-backed COVAX global vaccine sharing program. The administration says 25 percent of doses will be kept in reserve for emergencies and for the U-S to share directly with allies and partners. In a statement, Mr. Biden says “the United States is committed to bringing the same urgency to international vaccination efforts that we have demonstrated at home.”
