Denmark to allow mink breeding again from 2023

COPENHAGEN (Reuters) – Denmark will not extend a ban on mink breeding when the current ban expires at the turn of the year, the country’s agriculture ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The ban was introduced after the coronavirus spread to several hundred mink farms in Denmark during the pandemic in 2020, prompting the government to order all mink in the country culled.
